Digging a little deeper into John Steinbeck

1.What was John Steinbeck’s relationship to the Salinas Valley?
He was raised there as a youg man.

2.List five major facts about Steinbeck’s life.
John Steinbecks novel “The Grapes of Wrath”, considered by many to be his finest work, won the Pulitzer Prize in 1940.Three of John Steinbeck’s books who were made into Hollywood films:
Topoli (Of Mice and Men, Iran), Cannery Row, Of Mice and Men.In September of 1964, Steinbeck was awarded the United States Medal Of Freedom by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
His first novel was called Cup of Gold in 1929.
John Steinbeck has his own museum called The National Steinbeck Center.

3.What influenced Steinbeck to write the novella, Of Mice and Men?
Steinbeck had feelings for migrant workers, too. He was outraged over the way they were treated.
